Blackpink fans joke that singer Rosé, 27, is a jinx that breaks up high

BLACKPINK's Rosé has been revered for a number of talents - from singing to dancing - with many dubbing her 'the golden voice' for her angelic vocals.

But it would appear the K-pop star, 27, also has a mythical, supernatural ability - causing break-ups.

Fans are obsessed with the inside joke that the New Zealand-born singer is behind a number of high profile splits - including Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn and Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik - simply after being pictured in a photo with them. 

Social media has dubbed the phenomenon Rosé's 'curse'.

According to Know Your Meme, the trend went viral on social media last year, as fans started to point out the eerie timings of the star's snaps with A-listers in relation to their break-ups.

In 2021, Rosé - whose real name is Park Chae-young - shared a glam Instagram story with supermodel Gigi Hadid.

The duo stunned in the post taken in September - reshared by the X account Pop Base - enjoying an evening at the Met Gala.

Just one month later, sources revealed that she and Zayn Malik split up after first sparking romance rumours in 2015.

Elsewhere, Rosé and Bella Poarch struck up a friendship in 2021 - and the K-pop star was even reportedly set to feature on a remix of the TikTok influencer's hit Build a B**ch, according to allkpop.com.

As reported by 8list.ph, the duo were also snapped together in paparazzi photos from the summer of that year.

The following year, Bella, 27, announced that she was filing for divorce from her husband of four years - after being married in secret. 

Meanwhile in 2022, Rosé had a fangirl moment as she posed for a photo with one of her favourite artists, Taylor Swift, at the VMAs.

The Eras Tour hitmaker too appeared starstruck by the K-pop idol as she danced along to their hit Pink Venom - which the group performed live.

The pair were in visibly high spirits as they made a glamorous appearance and laughed while embracing each other in the photos.

Just two months later, Florence Pugh revealed that she and Zach Braff had split up  earlier in the year during a Harper's Bazaar interview. 

 'We've been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it's been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on,' she told the outlet.

However, they may be the pair that ultimately breaks the curse, as the duo were in February said to be 'working on their relationship' following recent rumors of a reconciliation. 

The 28-year-old model and the NBA star, 27, 'aren't fully back together yet, but they have been spending a lot of time together,' according to a source who spoke with Us Weekly. 

'He's happy to have a shot with Kendall again because he really missed her,' the insider added of the basketball player, who was recently seen sharing a Super Bowl suite with the Kardashians star.

According to the insider, Kendall's close ones didn't see a future between her and ex-boyfriend Bad Bunny, 29, whom she started dating following her split from Devin. 

'Kendall's close circle of friends never saw her dating Bad Bunny long-term, and they've been wanting her to get back with Devin for a long time.' 

And it would appear that not only A-listers are at risk of the curse - ordinary folk are not immune.

In one instance, a fan during Rosé's live revealed that one of their most cherished memories was when the singer noticed her while she was being proposed to during a Blackpink concert.

However, while an excited Rosé recounted that she did remember the sweet moment, the fan revealed that the pair had now split up, Sportskeeda reported.

The singer appeared startled and giggled nervously, but fans took to social media in stitches at the interaction.
